Barry Lam shepherds the Newton Chinese congregation and serves in two couples’ fellowships and an elderly fellowship. Barry started attending BCEC in 2004 and joined the staff of BCEC in September of 2008 after graduated with an MDiv degree from Gordon Conwell Theological seminary.
Barry was born in Hong Kong and grew up in a Christian home. He was baptized in 1998 in Boston when he came to study for a music degree at Berklee College of Music. After graduation, Barry worked as a QA engineer in the IT field. There, Barry answered God’s calling to enter into full-time ministry. He is married to Sophia and they are blessed with a son, Caleb, and a daughter, Leah.
