He was born in Hong Kong. He worked as an engineer for six
years before he came to the US for his MBA in 1982. Then he
pursued God's calling to the ministry and attended Gordon-Conwell
Theological Seminary. He went back to Hong Kong to plant a
new church after he received a Master of Divinity degree in
1987. Pastor Daniel received a Doctor of Theology degree from
Boston University in 2000.
He returned to the States and joined the staff in 1991. He
and his wife, Bet Har, met at BCEC and were married in 1986.
They have three sons.
