Note a credit card fee of 2.65% plus $0.45 per transaction will be deducted from your offering. (The fee for online giving through e-check costs less at $0.35 per transaction. Thus giving via e-check would make your gift go further for BCEC. You may also consider increasing your gift to cover the cost of the transaction fees.

For youth programming, the Newton youth ministry meets online on Sunday mornings at 10 am and on Friday evenings at 7 pm. Visit the BCEC Newton Students website for more information.
The COVID-19 coronavirus has wreaked havoc on our daily lives, as much of Greater Boston has shut down. Some individuals have been impacted physically and financially. Therefore, our church will collect a special offering over the next three Sundays (April 5, 12 and 19) for the Boston Resiliency Fund, created by the City of Boston.
Priorities of this fund include providing access to food for various at-risk populations, technology to Boston Public School students for remote learning, and support to first responders and health care workers who are on the frontlines fighting this pandemic.

Next Sunday is the first Sunday of the month, which we typically celebrate Holy Communion. Since we cannot come together physically to do this, we will be doing this in our homes. In order to prepare, please watch Pastor Enoch give a tutorial on how to prepare for the Holy Communion in your homes.

講題：我們能把甚麼給別人

1 這事以後，主又設立七十個人，差遣他們兩個兩個的，在他前面往自己所要到的各城各地方去。2 就對他們說：要收的莊稼多，作工的人少。所以，你們當求莊稼的主，打發工人出去收他的莊稼。3 你們去罷，我差你們出去，如同羊羔進入狼群。 4 不要帶錢囊，不要帶口袋，不要帶鞋；在路上也不要問人的安。5 無論進那一家，先要說：願這一家平安。 6 那裡若有當得平安的人，你們所求的平安就必臨到那家；不然，就歸與你們了。7 你們要住在那家，喫喝他們所供給的，因為工人得工價，是應當的；不要從這家搬到那家。

願大家平安，新冠病毒帶給全球重大的影響，教會為參與防範疫情的行動，也把崇拜聚會轉到線上進行，上星期是我們第一次的線上敬拜，事後收到很多正面的意見及鼓勵，特此感 謝大家對教會的支持及參與。
我們未知這疫情會維持多久，為保持與大家的溝通，我約定大家一同在主日早上使用ZOOM程式參與敬拜。大家可在11時按下面的資料開始登入，我會在11時15分（平日的崇拜時間）使用ZOOM的共享屏幕功能播放崇拜視頻，與大家一同敬拜，之後我會現塲作會務報告，屆時大家可以就教會在這期間的任何事情發問，我會逐一回答。這樣可以讓大家有詢問的機會，同時發表任何意見，讓教會改善現時所作的安排。希望到時與大家見面。

1979年波士頓華人佈道會搬進在夏里臣街249號新落成的教堂，譚雅各牧師退休，由馮雅各牧師出任主任牧師。
四十年後的今天(2019年)，我們教會面對多項重要決定：（1）我們要察驗何為神的心意，是否出售249樓宇，讓市政府可以興建新學校。（2）我們要思想神的帶領，在華埠和牛頓的事工未來的方向。（3）我們需要神的幫助，來決定誰出任新的主任牧師。
所有這些決定都會影響我們的未來， 盼望我們教會能合一向主禱告，祈求祂的帶領和引導。每星期禱告事項。
In 1979, BCEC moved into its new building at 249 Harrison Ave. and Pastor Fung became Senior Pastor, as Pastor Tan retired. Forty years later in 2019, our church is faced with many important decisions. We need to consider whether to sell 249 Harrison Ave. to allow the city to build a new school. We need to think about the future directions of our ministries in Chinatown and in Newton. We need to decide who should be the new Senior Pastor. In all these decisions that affect our future, we want to be united as a church to pray to the Lord to lead us and guide us. Here’s the link to the weekly prayer items.
